These sequences are part of the documentary “Mondo cane” from 1962 by Italian filmmakers Paolo Cavara, Franco Prosperi and Gualtiero Jacopetti.
Not just for trainspotters: These awesome monochrome and colored photos of railways and railway situations in Hamburg, Germany were taken by photographer Walter Hollnagel between 1947 and 1958. These great photos of the Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin were published on einestages. The monumental social boulevard was built by the GDR and named ‘Stalinallee’ between 1949 and 1961. According to the ‘Karl-Marx-Allee’ article on Wikipedia, the ‘Stalinallee’ was a flagship building project of East Germany’s reconstruction programme after World War II.
